CAD Capability

TFSG creates 3D models and 2D drawings inhouse for your application.  With decades of CAD design experience ranging from prototype development to complete mechanical room designs, we have the skillsets to bring your concept to reality.  We maintain and use a wide range of modeling software to meet customer needs:  Autodesk Inventor Professional, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Mechanical, AutoCAD Plant 3D, SolidWorks and others upon request.  We are familiar with the unique advantages of each program and smoothly transition between software packages to provide the best possible solution.  Our 3D models have been used inhouse to produce 2D fabrication / assembly drawings, 3D prints, and CNC code.  Our 3D models are also used to inform system layout , CFD and structural analysis.

3D Printing​

3D printing capability is an absolute necessity in today’s prototyping industry.  TFSG uses a Formlabs Form 2, a Stereolithography (SLA) 3D printer, to offer a wide range of print speeds, precision, and material properties.  When material, precision or finish requirements exceed those possible internally, TFSG has used vetted external 3D printing houses for production and prototyping purposes.

CNC Router

Inventor Professional provides the ability to generate CNC g-code quickly for cutting 2D designs in-house.  Our CNC router aids in the fabrication of large prototype assemblies and is setup to cut wood and a variety of plastics.  When material, precision or finish requirements exceed those possible internally, TFSG has multiple vetted external precision machine shops at our disposal for production and prototyping purposes.
